This article provides practical statistics on feminism today. There are charts that include the amount of women and men who identify themselves as feminist, and what words people think of when they think of feminist. These facts offer good insight into how America views feminism today.

Article #4:

This article addresses feminism in the face of the 2016 presidential race. More specifically, the democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Though she is the only female candidate running, and would be the first female president of the United States, thousands of young people have turned to Bernie Sanders as the more feminist candidate. This article defines and analyzes the differences in their brands of feminism.

Article #2:

This article is speaking from an informed opinion on my topic. It is a New Yorker article from 2014, detailing the disbute between radical feminism and transgenderism. The author sets her article up like a timeline, detailing the viewpoints of feminists from the 1970's through today. She not only gives her own thoughts, but the thoughts of other informed women.  

Article #3:

This article serves as historical evidence on the womens rights movement throughout 20th century. It is a simple Brittanica page, but it is filled with 20th century feminist history. The page is filled with useful facts and pieces of history to reference in my essay/webpage.

Article #5:

This article discusses the categorization of women in different tropes. The author discusses what it means to be a defined as a 'bad woman' versus a 'good woman' in American society. Adjectives and descriptions like "Stupid. Sleeps with whoever she wants. Highly sexual. Extremely girly" are broken down and criticized for the impact they have had on the perception of women today.
